Sabah Cheshire Home & Services

Persatuan Rumah dan Perkhidmatan Cheshire Sabah (Sabah Cheshire Home & Services) was officially registered on 16 July 1974. The first Home in Kota Kinabalu was built and officially opened on 29 January 1983 followed by the second Home in Sandakan on 8 April 2000. Sabah Cheshire provides care for persons with disabilities irrespective of race, religion and culture working with them to help them to live independently, in promoting and implementation of independent living in exercising their rights.

Cheshire Sabah welcomes Volunteers to assist the Home in its day to day operations and in April 2019, our Founder. Mr. Freddy Lim together with a team of 30 Volunteers from Taiwan, Hong Kong Singapore and Malaysia visited the Home and gave the rehabilitation room and the dining area a fresh coat of paint. It was sheer hard work but the appreciation give back by the occupants of the Home was simply priceless.

The Home welcomes donations in kind and also Monetary Donations will be greatly appreciated as the association is a voluntary organization and depends mainly on the public support to carry out its work. Money, whatever the amount, will go a long way towards helping the residents be independent. Gifts in kind, such as food, linen, and materials for handicraft work are always welcome.
